The got shingles 7 months after getting the first Shingles shot, it was not as bad as far as breaking out, but the pain was still just as bad. In 2017, the patient received a second set of the new shingles vaccine. The pharmacist informed the patient that this vaccine had over 90 percent accuracy. The patient confirmed that the pharmacist was right, and 8 years later, they have not had a recurrence of shingles.
