Injection site reaction

Symptom narrative

Moderate to severe injection site reaction over anterior R thigh, 10 - 12 cm in greatest dimension. Developed in first 24 hours. No systemic sx noted. Advised cool compresses, Tylenol / Motrin PRN, and OTC topical 1% HC for itching PRN. Discussed signs of anaphylaxis, reasons to seek emergency care.

Current illness

No acute illness at time of vaccination. Influenza A diagnosed about 3 weeks prior.
