Symptom narrative

I received my 7th Covid vaccine at the same pharmacy where I had previously had 6 Covid injections. For the other six injections, my left arm was sore for 3-4 days and that was it. For this 7th injection, my left shoulder/arm has been sore and in pain for 7 months. For the first 5 months, it was uncomfortable to move my arm certain ways but I pretty much had full range of motion. In the past 2 months, the pain has gotten worse and range of motion has been affected. I wake up every morning with a sore shoulder and certain movements cause instense pain. My orthopecic surgeon told me that it is inflammation/bursitis and getting a cortisone shot is an option. However, given my pain is from an injection in my shoulder, I'm a little hesitant to get another injection in my shoulder that will also cause pain for a few days.

Current illness

Partial Rotator Cuff tear in other shoulder (right shoulder) one week prior to Covid vaccine in left shoulder.

Lab data

MRI on left shoulder on March 6, 2025. The MRI says "Mild degenerative change at the acromioclavicular joint with slight inferior distal clavivular spurring and mild soft tissue hypertrophic change at the acromioclavicular joint inferiorlythat abuts the supraspinatus tendon. It is feasible this could cause impingement syndrome." My orthopedic surgeon did not see anything that stood out on the MRI which he why he said it is most likely inflamation/bursitis. I assumed this was all a result of the needle being placed too far into the muscle, and that could be the cause, but my orthopedic surgeon seemed to indicate he has been hearing about this type of reaction to the Covid vaccine, meaning it could be the ingredients of the vaccine. Since I received 6 vaccines prior to this at the same pharmacy with no adverse side effects, and the 7th vaccine was a new formula made to fight a new variant, I would love to know what ingredients were in this vaccine that weren't in the previous 6 vaccines that I had.
