Symptom narrative

Approximately 80 minutes later, the mother returned with her son, who exhibited a mild rash on the jaw extending to the neck and partially to the cheeks bilaterally. After five minutes, the patient developed facial redness, swelling and reported itching of the eyes. Administered intramuscular epinephrine (0.3 mg/mL) and 25 mg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl) by mouth. The rash and facial redness resolved shortly after treatment. The patient was observed for an additional 30 minutes without further incidents. The mother and son went to emergency room where they were observed for an additional 4 hours without incident. Followed up with PCM on 15 APR with complete resolution of symptoms.
