Confirmed no symptoms or side effects; VARIVAX administered on 5/12/2025 that expired on 4/19/2025; This spontaneous report was received from a nurse and refers to a 40-year-old patient of unknown gender. The patient's medical history, concurrent conditions or concomitant therapies were not reported. On 12-MAY-2025, the patient was vaccinated with expired varicella virus vaccine live (oka-merck) (VARIVAX) injection at a dose of 0.5 mL, administered once, lot #X011425, expiration date: 19-APR-2025 (route of administration and anatomical location were not reported) for prophylaxis (Expired product administered). The vaccine was reconstituted with sterile diluent (MERCK STERILE DILUENT) (lot# and expiry date were not reported). No temperature excursion history. No symptoms or side effects were confirmed (No adverse event).
