recent serology testing indicated that she does not have immunity against chickenpox; came down with Shingles after receiving the vaccine; This spontaneous report was received from a consumer and refers to a female patient of unknown age. The patient's medical history, concurrent conditions and concomitant therapies were not reported. On an unknown date, the patient was vaccinated with Varicella virus vaccine live (Oka-Merck) (VARIVAX) (strength, dose, lot #, expiration date, anatomical location, and route of administration were not reported) for prophylaxis. The vaccine was reconstituted with sterile diluent (MERCK STERILE DILUENT) (lot #, and expiration date were not provided). On an unspecified date in 1999, the patient experienced Shingles after receiving the vaccine (reported also as patient's pertinent medical history, conflicting information). On an unknown date (also reported as recent), serology testing showed no immunity against chickenpox (Antibody test negative).
