Symptom narrative

The child has been experiencing a lump on her right leg for approximately 2 weeks. The lump is located beneath the skin and has not shown any signs of resolution. The area around the lump exhibits intermittent redness, which is sometimes severe and at other times absent. The lump is situated directly under the site of a previous injection given during her 4-month vaccinations. Despite the presence of the lump, she appears to be unaffected, maintaining her usual mobility. However, she has been more irritable than usual, a change that coincided with ear infections. She is currently on amoxicillin. The lump does not seem to cause discomfort when touched, and there is no evidence of drainage. She has also experienced intermittent fevers, which were initially attributed to teething. Her last recorded fever was 1 day ago, but since starting the antibiotic, her temperature has remained between 98 and 99.8 degrees.
