Symptom narrative

Patient came to pharmacy on 9/8/2025 to have me look at her left arm. She states that the day after the immunizations she felt okay, the 2nd day she felt very achy and had a low grade fever that she did not track as it did not seem like an issue to her but she was taking ibuprofen and acetaminophen. She states that she has had the Flu shot before with no issues but never an RSV or pneumonia. She states that the symptoms seemed like what she had expected. She states on Saturday (9/6/2025) her arm became very red, warm, and swollen at the injection site. She tried some ice and that helped a bit with the swelling and warmth but she could still notice it was there. She states that she tried some Caladryl cream and some hydrocortisone cream because she was having itching but that neither of those provided relief. She states that Sunday 9/7/2025 she noticed that the redness was traveling down and around her arm toward her elbow. When she presented at the pharmacy 9/8/2025 I looked at her arm and there was redness from the injection site around most of her upper arm and almost to her elbow. It was warm to the touch. I recommended her to see her primary provider and called doctor's office and got her scheduled for an appointment today at 2:15pm. She states that will work for her and she will see her primary this afternoon for evaluation.
