My left leg became very sore. I went to my PCP on 5/11/21 and she recognized that it was a blood clot and immediately had me get an ultrasound at the (withheld) Health hospital in (withheld city, state, address). They quickly determined I had 3 blood clots in my left thigh. I was given a referral to a hematologist in (withheld city) (don't remember her name, but her office was in what is now called withheld name, city, state, address).

The hematologist put me on Xarelto which I took until Dec 2021. During that time she ordered blood tests to check for markers for clotting disorders, had a CT scan of my thigh area to see if there was a particular physiological defect that could cause clotting. She also questioned me about my blood relatives/ancestors and my own medical history to see if there was any history of blood clots. All of those results came back negative - no family or personal history, no blood markers, and no physical defect that could cause blood clots. Basically, they were "idiopathic". When I asked her directly if they could be related to the COVID vax I received only 2 weeks prior to the blood clots, she said, "There is no way to tell." In December 2021 I stopped Xarelto in consultation with her and have not had any subsequent blood clots.
