Symptom narrative

Patient developed a red, swollen area around the injection site on the right deltoid after receiving Trumenba vaccine. Area of redness was the entire size of the deltoid muscle and warm to touch. Patient was seen 2 days post vaccine and redness was much less noticeable but area was still warm to the touch and tender. Mom and patient advised to monitor area and take ibuprofen as needed for tenderness/discomfort. Patient denied itching so Benadryl/HC cream not recommended. Patient advised to return to office in 2 days if area does not continue to get better. Patient did not return a second time so area of redness must have resolved.
