The patient was very nervous prior to immunization due to a previous negative experience after receiving her Tdap vaccine. After immunization it was noticed that the pt was very anxious and started crying. It was found that the pt reportedly did not eat prior to her vaccination and was provided water and requested her Boost and cereal bar that was in the car. Her blood pressure was checked and found to be 143/84 HR 77-the pt is reportedly taking Valsartan her blood pressure was checked again at least 5 minutes later and was found to be 146/80 HR 77-the pt reported that she felt fine and her husband was going to take her to get something to eat. The pt reported that she is seen by a lifestyle coach and hypnotist to treat her anxiety. I advised her to follow-up with her provider to evaluate her blood pressure and medications as well as considering medication to treat her anxiety since they have been occurring spontaneously.
