Symptom narrative

Positional vertigo 1 hour post inoculation with the flu vaccine; This spontaneous case initially received on 02-Dec-2025, was reported by a non-health professional via Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) (Reference number: 2859437-1) and concerns an adult female patient. Past medical history included Electrocardiogram (twice). At the time of the event the patient had Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus. No known drug allergy (NKDA) was reported. Concomitant medication: refer to appropriate report section. Administration of company suspect drug: On 17-Sep-2025, the patient received Flucelvax (TIV) for Indication not reported, Dose regimen: Not reported, Route of administration: Intramuscular, Anatomical Location: Left Arm, Lot number: No batch number available, with no follow up request is possible as case is from Health authority. No additional suspect drugs. Adverse reactions/events and outcomes: On 17-Sep-2025, the patient experienced Positional vertigo 1 hour post inoculation with the flu vaccine ( outcome: Recovered / Resolved). Patient developed positional vertigo 1 hour post inoculation with the flu vaccine. Flucelvax (TIV) action taken: Not Applicable Reporter's assessment: The reporter considered the event as non-serious and did not provide causality assessment.; Reporter's Comments: Causality: Due to the spontaneous nature of the case, the event is considered related for reporting purposes. Considering close temporal association (one hour after vaccine administration). Underlying diabetes and hypertension might be contributory risk factors.
