Symptom narrative

Patient came back to pharmacy on the 22nd, stated she had got her vaccine a week ago. Stated that it swelled up, was red and hot to the touch, and is having fatigue. No fever, no swelling of face, tongue, or throat. Stated this had happened to her in the past, when she had taken the Boostrix vaccine, and she went to the ER a few days later. Had been told by ER doctor that she was having an allergic reaction. Came to the pharmacy because she was concerned that she was still having swelling and symptoms a week later, and asked if she should consult her prescriber. Got two vaccines on the same day in the same arm, but she has had a flu shot in the past without incident, so believes to be Prevnar 20. Says she will contact her MD right away, and will take Diphenhydramine before bed to see if that causes an improvement. Patient knows if conditions to go to ER like she has in the past.
