Symptom narrative

2 days after being vaccinated the pt became light headed like she was going to pass out and then several days later she collapsed on the kitchen floor because of this. These episodes of being dizziness and being light headed have continued from that day until the present. Two weeks post vaccine she started loosing her vision where everything would become black for at least two minutes each episode. She averages 15 to 20 episodes per day and looses vision each time she has one. She has not been able to attend school due to having theses episodes. She has had a full neurologic evaluation that came back negative except it has been acknowledged that her blood pressure drops when standing or walking. She was seen (withheld name) Cariology where she had a normal exam and heart US. She was given a heart rate monitor ZIO Patch. She was placed on salt, 80 oz. water per day, and blood pressure medication. Cardiologist did see a decrease in blood pressure when sitting up, standing and walking. She had a full MRI and MRA which were both normal. They have consulted with the pediatrician, and has been diagnosed with POTS on set from HPV Gardasil 9 vaccine. She continues treatment with follow up appointments with both pediatrician and Cardiologist. Her POTS case is categorized as severe and has been given a handi-cap parking ticket. She has never had any of these symptoms prior to HPV vaccine and never had any mental health concerns or diagnosis.
