Suspected Giant Cell Myocarditis: 9/15: patient began feeling poorly with fever 9/18: patient presented to ED and admitted to the hospital 9/19: patient placed on VA-ECMO with IABP 9/24: VA-ECMO removed 9/26: IABP removed 9/26: ECG with Aflutter 9/27: Patient remains in ICU

Medical history

gastroschisis and intestinal malrotation s/p surgical repair in infancy, sacroiliitis/ankylosing spondylitis (HLA B27 neg) on biologics at least since 2020: Golimumab (last infusion: 3/20/2025; prior treatment with Humira and Enbrel), chronic malnutrition on TPN
