About two weeks after receiving the shot I began to experience some neck discomfort which I originally attributed to my sleeping position. It was only discomfort for about 2 more weeks and then progressed into excruciating, sharp, stabbing and shooting lower neck/upper back pain. I reached out to my doctor in August to explain that this pain started after receiving the shot and that there was no physical injury that contributed to it. She advised it could be a muscle and prescribed muscle relaxer and ibuprofen around the clock for 1 week. Exactly 1 week later I reached out again because I had not gotten any relief from the two and explained that I knew my body and that I am a rather healthy adult with no chronic illnesses and that the pain I was feeling was not muscular and that I wanted to know what was going on. Was told that it probably was a coincidence and that they did not believe the shot had anything to do with it. Was referred to PT for evaluation. Received some X-rays and results were: X-rays of the cervical spine dated 09/08/2025 demonstrates decreased normal cervical lordosis. Bridging osteophyes noted at C2-C3 and C4-C5. Loss of disc height C7-T1. Was advised the plan of action was to begin physical therapy for 6 weeks to see if that helped, if not then after the 6 weeks we would take the next step. I was never contacted to make the physical therapy appointment but about 3-4 days after the visit my pain subsided about 90% without any intervention. As of 10/4/25, my pain is 99% gone but I do still have a small bit of discomfort on my upper back, depending on how I position my head.
