Symptom narrative

immediately after administering the vaccine patient experienced more than just a typical syncope reaction. she appeared to have throat itching which raised a concern for a possible allergic reaction. called 911 and informed the store manager. Paramedics arrived and assessed her vital signs: blood pressure was 106/70 and heart rate was low in around 60s. After few minutes watching her they offered to take her to the hospital for observation. However after discussing with her husband who was with her, they decided he would take her to the er instead. The paramedics stated that if she fainted while walking out, they would step in and take her themselves. The patient agreed and left with her husband
