My upper left arm, where I received the Pneumo Conjugate injection, was very sore. About 2 days later, redness, heat and itchiness developed. The red patch spread from the injection site near my shoulder down the front and inside of my arm almost to the elbow. For several days I applied a topical analgesic cream several times throughout the day. It helped somewhat, but not enough. Finally I gave up on that and started slathering the area with Calamine Lotion. I applied that generally twice during the day, as well as before bedtime. This is day 12 and the redness, heat and itchiness have diminished substantially. I anticipate that in a couple days I'll quit using Calamine Lotion and all will be dandy. Somehow I inadvertently uploaded only a partially completed form earlier today. Please scrap that. With luck this one will upload fully and properly with all the necessary info.
