Pt received routine 6-mth vaccines at PCP on the day prior to admission to my service. Please reach out to PCP regarding individual vaccines and lot numbers. At approximately 0300 this morning, the patient developed status epilepticus and subsequent respiratory failure requiring intubation and significant antiepileptic doses to control seizures. Pt was subsequently found to have rhinovirus and adenovirus on nasal swab. Given the positive RPP, this would typically not reach my threshold for adverse event reporting; however, patient also developed complex febrile seizures at age 4-months the day following her vaccines.
Adenovirus, Rhinovirus
Previous complex febrile seizures with routine 4-month vaccines on 8/2/2025 (received vaccines on 8/1/2025).
