Symptom narrative

At the time of vaccination, the patient was approximately 6 months pregnant, with a due date of September 2, 2022. The symptoms occurred within 20 to 30 minutes of receiving the vaccine and included swelling, redness, inflammation, warmth, and pain/tenderness at the injection site. The swelling, redness, and inflammation stayed localized to the injection site, with the area of swelling and redness expanding to around 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter within 24 hours of the vaccine injection. The symptoms persisted for approximately 3 days and ultimately subsided by the end of day 4 or 5. The patient's pregnancy continued without issue, and the baby was delivered successfully on XXXX, without complications. The male baby was born with a deep sacral dimple located immediately superior to the anus. An ultrasound was performed shortly after birth to confirm that no connection to the spinal canal or sinus tract. In toddlerhood, the male child has experienced some speech and language developmental delays.
