Suspected vaccination failure; Shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a adult male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix. On an unknown date, 1 year after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: Shingles). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the shingles to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK receipt date: 08-OCT-2025 The case was received from the patient via interactive digital media. The patient asked that what they mean get the shingles shot. The patient was glad that he got the shot because he developed the shingles about a year later and it was not really bad one long line in about three spots patient was lucky. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary vaccination schedule and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
