Symptom narrative

Patient immediately felt a reaction to the vaccine described as tingling rising up her arm. Her chest then developed diffuse, splotchy redness which then rose from her chest to her ears. Additionally, it was noted that she had mottled skin on her arms (not splotchy redness). She took 50 mg of her own benadryl and began to feel better. However, she then began to feel chest tightness and/or heaviness. I performed a blood pressure check with an automated cuff which read 180/100. I then called for a clinic nurse who repeated the pressure check with a manual reading and her blood pressure was found to be 200/100. We called an ambulance at this point and she was transported to a nearby ER where she was observed and discharged
