Muscle spasmsPain in extremity

Symptom narrative

As soon as the needle was inserted into the skin, the patient experienced a muscle spasm that travelled the span of their arm. The vaccine was injected and the patient still felt pain / soreness in the entire arm after the needle was removed from the skin. Pharmacist spoke with patient and explained that needle could have precipitated a muscle spasm and to follow the feeling for the next few hours. Told patient to follow up with pharmacy if soreness did not improve for further steps to take.
