Symptom narrative

The night of 10/17 after receiving her vaccines, our daughter developed a low-grade fever overnight, we gave her a dose of tylenol (overnight, unsure of exact time). 24 hours post injection, my daughter developed a raised, warm/hot to the touch, red, and swollen reaction in her left arm. The size and appearance of the reaction was roughly 2 inches in diameter and spread outward from the injection site in a random pattern. At this time, we treated with a dose of ibuprofen and a warm compress. Over the next 9 hours, the reaction continued to spread running from her left shoulder all the way down to her left elbow. At this time, remaining warm/hot to the touch, red, swollen/raised, and keeping to a splotchy pattern. At this point, our daughter started to complain that it was painful when we touched it. We gave her a dose of Tylenol around 4:30pm on 10/18. The next 12 hours, it did continue to spread, now wrapping around her arm and keeping within the range of her shoulder and elbow of her left arm, remaining warm/hot to the touch, red, swollen/raised, and painful, and now starting to itch. We gave her a dose of benadryl and ibuprofen around 11am the morning of 10/19. Over the course of the day, the symptoms remained mostly unchanged and continued to bother her by being itchy. We applied topical benadryl at roughly 11am, 2pm, and 5pm throughout the day on 11/19 to help with the itching. Waking up the morning of 10/20, most symptoms have shown improvement. But instead of a red splotchy, raised appearance, it is now replaced by a discolored area with bruising throughout the affected area.
