Nerve damage; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of nerve damage in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles (had shingles 2 years ago on back and under arm), pain and pins and needles (had pins and needles like electric going through the body). On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced nerve damage (Verbatim: Nerve damage). The outcome of the nerve damage was not reported. The patient had shingles 2 years ago on his/her back and under arm it was the most painful experience. The patient had pins and needles like electric going through body and nothing helped, the patient tried everything pain killers anti depressed and nothing relieved the pain. The patient had it lasted 7 Weeks constant and now after it was over the patient went for the 2 shots and had nerve damage in the spot where he/she got shingles. The patient asked why skin was never the same. The patient advised if u didn't get the shots, get them the side effects of the shots were not as bad had having the shingles.
