Symptom narrative

Severe burning pain from neck to elbow left side May 21, 2025. Complete loss of use of left shoulder by May 26. X-rays of shoulder May 24. Prescribed 1 round Prednisone and Hydrocodone. Pain persists. X-rays of neck May 29. Prescribed another round of Prednisone. No relief or diagnosis. Switched provider. MRI on neck June 3. Prescribed a different opioid. MRI on shoulder June 6th. Referred to different doctor in same group. On June 10, diagnosed with Parsonage Turner Syndrome and prescribed Gabapentin and ROM physical therapy. Today October 10, I have recovered approximately 60% use of left shoulder. No definitive timeline of full recovery. May never fully recover.

Pravastatin 40mg, Clopidogrel 75mg, Alendronate 70 mg, Aimovig 70mg Sureclick, Estrodial 0.025mg patch, calcium and vitamin D.

Lab data

X-ray shoulder 05/26/25 - minor arthritis. X-ray neck 05/29/2025 - minor arthritis. MRI shoulder 06/03/2025 - slight rotator cuff tear. MRI neck 06/06/2025 - nothing of note. EMG July 07/25/25 - nerve damage detected and muscle atrophy due to loss of used of shoulder.
