Symptom narrative

About 24 hours after vaccine a red warm area presented, pt reported a fever, and pain under her arm. She was feeling generally tired. Tylenol was recommended and she was to report to employee health if it got worse. Four days later, at work, she complained to the charge nurse. As he looked, he reported a large, red, warm area on her left arm, axillary lymphadenopathy, and a fever. She was seen in the ED where, after a soft tissue ultrasound, she was given an oral antibiotic and oral steroid. Abscess was R/O in ED.
