On 10/13/2025, the patient visited the pharmacy to report a possible reaction to the shingles vaccine. She received her first dose on 06/15/2025, which she tolerated well without any adverse effects. The second dose was administered on 09/14/2025. The patient shared that she had a case of shingles over a year ago, during which she experienced a tingling or crawling sensation in her scalp. At that time, she was treated with gabapentin, and the symptoms resolved. However, a few days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine, she began experiencing the same tingling/crawling sensation in her scalp?identical to what she felt during her previous shingles episode, though this time without any rash. The symptom is ongoing and she plans on seeing her provider for consult.
Patient mentioned history of Shingles over a year prior to getting the vaccine.
