Incorrect route of product administration

Symptom narrative

PCV20 given subcutaneously however correct route is intramuscularly. RN who administered medication presumed subcutaenous was acceptable as it is with PPSV23. After administration, pre-filled syringe was reviewed and in small text noted for IM use. Error identified.

N/a - patient notified. Advised monitor for injection site reaction.
