Symptom narrative

The morning of Sunday, November 2nd, at approximately 8:30am, he had a severe skin rash flare up; itching, raised bumps. At approximately 9:25am, as my wife was holding him, he went into what would best be described as a catatonic state, perhaps a febrile seizure. He was still breathing, but he went limp and his eyes rolled back in his head. We called the doctor, who instructed us to observe him. We called my sister, who is a registered nurse. She instructed us to take his temperature and is the one who floated the notion of a febrile seizure. We have always wondered if the vaccines were contributing to his eczema/skin rashes, but we have no definite way to conclude this.

Current illness

No illness at time of vaccination. About a week prior, he had diarrhea for about half a day. No fever. Maybe some intermittent coughing, but nothing alarming or that we felt required intervention.

Medical history

He has been struggling with eczema - red inflamed patches all over his body - for about ten months now.

Other medications

Mupirocin Ointment USP 2%, Hydrocortisone 1%, Mary Ruth's Organic Infant Liquid Vitamin C, Mary Ruth's Organic Infant Liquid Zinc, Mary Ruth's Infant Liquid Ionic Zinc, Nova Ferrum Multi Vitamin with Iron, Mommy's Bliss Cough Syrup & Mu

Allergies

Nothing documented by an allergist yet, but we are planning on taking him to one. From our own observation, he has an allergy to eggs and dairy. The day of the adverse event, he ingested the tiniest bit of peanut butter, about 2 hours before the event. We were just about to serve it to him, put it on his tray, but then changed our minds. We took it off his tray, but before we could wipe it off, he used his finger to eat the faint remnant that remained on his tray. There was no anaphylactic response. No breathing problem.
