Symptom narrative

A blotch appeared in my left eye, looking like a "floater", which has remained to this day. After a few more hours, streaks of white light seemed to be moving down the left side of the same left eye...looked like "rain". Went to my eye dr (mine was out, but another Dr saw me) as he was worried the streaks might indicate a detaching retina; but on a thorough check, he said it was safe and my eye was normal/ok. The blotch is still in my vision, but there is no pain.
