ringing in her ears; Initial information received on 28-Oct-2025 regarding an unsolicited valid non-serious case received from a other health professional. This case involves a 69-year-old female patient who experienced ringing in her ears after receiving typhoid VI polysaccharide vaccine [Typhim VI]. The patient's past medical history, medical treatment(s), vaccination(s) and family history were not provided. Concomitant medications included polio vaccine inact 3V (VERO) (IPOL [polio vaccine INACT 3V (VERO)]); and Hepatitis a vaccine inact, Hepatitis b vaccine rHBsAg (yeast) (Twinrix) for Immunisation. On 08-Oct-2025, the patient received a 0.5 ml dose of suspect TYPHOID VI POLYSACCHARIDE VACCINE Solution for injection strength: standard of lot Y2A04P1 and expiry date: 30-Jun-2027 via intramuscular route in the deltoid nos (not specified) for Immunization On 09-OCT-2025 the patient developed ringing in her ears (tinnitus) (latency: 1 day). It was reported, she noticed that she had ringing in her ears. She described it as a tone similar to Cicadas and it's been continuing consistently and nonstop since then. So, it's been about 3 weeks now. Pharmacy student called to report the adverse event and is curious if we have any information about how long this could last and what can be expected from it because she was pretty concerned. He wanted to help the patient with good information that maybe they can use to reassure her. Action taken was not applicable. Treatment: Yes, she had been given with steroid.
