Patient was given his flu vaccine and shortly after, experienced a syncopal episode. Nurse laid patient flat on exam table and alerted nearby staff. Ice pack applied to patients neck and vitals machine brought into room. Patient able to speak and answer questions. Nurse monitored patient for some time before sitting patient up half way and giving patient some juice. Patient drank the juice and started to feel light headed again and syncoped a second time. Patient laid back down and Dr called to room. Patient placed on some oxygen and remained laying flat for 15 minutes. Patient speaking in full sentences and vitals monitored. Patient safety maintained. Patient moved to a sitting position and BP remained stable. Patient denied symptoms. Patient then moved to a standing position and BP remained stable. Patient denied symptoms. Patient allowed to leave clinic after monitoring.
