Symptom narrative

Patient had a localized skin reaction with associated arm pain and swelling (no hives/wheals) 3 weeks after injection was given. No reaction at the time of the vaccine administration. She suddenly began experiencing excruciating pain at the injection site, rated as ten out of ten, accompanied by decreased movement of her left arm due to the pain. The site was swollen and very tender to touch. She has been using a pain relief spray twice daily, which has helped reduce the pain to a four out of ten. The swelling has improved, but she still finds it challenging to lift her arm. The pain and swelling are localized to the left arm near the injection site, around the mid humeral shaft. No signs of anaphylaxis such as nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing, hives.
