Symptom narrative

My son (toddler) received the Pediarix vaccine (DTaP, Hepatitis B, and Polio) in his right thigh on November 4, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m. There was no immediate reaction. That evening, he began limping and favoring his right leg. The limp has persisted for more than 48 hours and is still present as of November 6 2025. He shows visible discomfort when walking and continues to favor the injected leg. There is no redness, swelling larger than 2?3 inches, or fever. We applied cool compresses and gave dye-free Motrin (ibuprofen) 5 mL doses for pain relief. Despite this, there has been no significant improvement in his ability to walk normally. He was examined by a pediatrician on November 6 2025, who described it as a ?mild vaccine reaction? and did not order further testing. Outcome: Limp and discomfort are ongoing at the time of this report.
