I?ve undergone two MRIs, extensive blood work, and evaluations by three neurologists, as well as other specialists including an audiologist and an ENT. I also completed three months of physical therapy. Despite all of this, nothing has provided relief, and all test results have come back within normal limits. I?ve now been diagnosed with vestibular migraines. What?s puzzling is that I?ve never experienced dizziness before in my life. The only event I can associate with the onset of symptoms is receiving the flu vaccine in October 2024. I?m required by my employer to receive the flu vaccine annually, and I?ve complied with this for over 15 years without issue. However, given the timing and severity of my symptoms, I?ve decided not to get the flu vaccine this year ? even though I will likely lose my job as a result. I did speak with our occupational health department, and they encouraged me to report this, even though not a single doctor will say the flu vaccine caused it. Still, I know my own body, and I know something changed after that shot.
