Immediate post-injection reactionInjection site bruisingInjection site pain

Symptom narrative

Immediately after injection, patient reported pain in surrounding area of injection site (above and to the left and at injection site). The injection site was bruised immediately. I gave patient water and an ice pack to place on injection site. Patient remained at pharmacy for 15 minutes. I gave her acetaminophen 500mg tablet10 minutes after injection.

Current illness

Sjogren titer done early in 2025 and it was low.

Medical history

Hypertension, Mood disorder

Other medications

Ibuprofen 200 mg tablet an hour before vaccine administration. Synthroid, Losartan, Bupropion, Lamotrigine daily.

Allergies

None

Prior vaccinations

Fluzone HD 2023 (rash, severe swelling); flu shot (not high dose) 2024 (swelling and bruising for a day or two)
