Shingrix given Intrameningeal; Vaccine Administered at Inappropriate Site; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of intramuscular formulation administered by other route in a female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Concurrent medical conditions included arm deformity. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix (intrameningeal, right thigh). On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced intramuscular formulation administered by other route (Verbatim: Shingrix given Intrameningeal ) and vaccine administered at inappropriate site (Verbatim: Vaccine Administered at Inappropriate Site). The outcome of the intramuscular formulation administered by other route and vaccine administered at inappropriate site were not applicable. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 24-OCT-2025 A pharmacist called to know if the Shingrix vaccine can be given in another body region rather than the deltoid muscle. She informed that a patient needs the vaccine but has some deformities in the arms. She requested to know if the thigh could be used for administering the vaccine. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.
