puffy face; painful pimples one on top of each other; tired; suspected shingles; painful rash; red rash; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of shingles in a 54-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On 22-OCT-2025, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix (intramuscular, left arm) .5 ml. In OCT-2025, less than a week after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: suspected shingles), painful rash (Verbatim: painful rash), red rash (Verbatim: red rash), pimples (Verbatim: painful pimples one on top of each other) and tiredness (Verbatim: tired). On an unknown date, the patient experienced facial puffiness (Verbatim: puffy face). The patient was treated with aciclovir sodium (Acyclovir), valaciclovir hydrochloride (Valacyclovir) and methylprednisolone sodium succinate (Methylprednisolone). The outcome of the shingles was not reported and the outcome of the painful rash, red rash, facial puffiness, pimples and tiredness were resolving. The patient reported that she had a puffy face and a red rash with painful pimples one on top of each other and was very tired, it looked like shingles, but the doctor was not sure, the patient. The patient reported that the HCP prescribed medications and did blood work. The patient was prescribed a topical ointment and oral medications. The patient reported that she suffered for one week and the condition has gotten better. No additional information was provided.
