Fever (103), vomiting, diarrhea. Highest fever was 108.8, verified by nurse at the hospital. She contracted (physically) after that fever and never walked again. While at hospital she had a code blue. At every hospital, she would spike a high fever, have seizure like events. Her esophogue tore from vomiting so much and collapsed her lung. That was the first surgery. From the time she received the flu shot she weighed 115 lbs and her wieght dropped quickly to 70 lbs. Her diarrhea never stopped for the 10 months after the shot. Her body did not have enough energy to heal after her surgery because she could not eat. I told the doctors that they needed to feed her intraveiniously because her normal was 155-120. The nurse said she was 80ponds when she arrived here, so that is the starting weight. I explained we had been in the hospital at 2 other facilities and that is not the weight that she needs to be at. They started to feed her with a feeding tube but only had it set for 80 pounds. I told them they were starving her but they would not increase the volume. I feel like they slowly starved her. The next surgery was so the doctore could stretch out her esphogus so she could start to eat. It was out patient and we had to call an ambulance the next day because her fever came back and thedoctor had torn open her esophogus again. So another surgery to stich it back up. After that she started to have trouble breathing so they went back to surgery to place a tracheotomy. Not to long after that she had colostomy. Then her tracheotomy was having problems because she was so small and the adult size was to big so the doctor took her to surgery to place a pediatric size. Eventually, they took her to surgery again and the stiches would not hold because her body was not healing. The doctor said he suggested no more surgery. We placed her on do not resuscitate. The last thing she got a stomach bleed and that was the end. My sweet beautiful child died after 10 horrible months of hospitals and surgeries. She never complained.
