Symptom narrative

Patient received Menveo Vaccine and was advised they needed to wait 15 min per vaccine policy to observe for any adverse effects. Mom was upset with this as he had, had this vaccine before but agreed. About 5 minutes into the 15 min wait RN Went to check on patient and mom reported that he passed out and seemed to have had a small seizure. RN came to grab me to help assess patient but mom was insistent that this was normal for patient and that he was fine and needed no extra care or observation. Patient was pale in color but was regaining mental status and drinking water. No staff witnessed the event but mom states this always happens with vaccines. Unclear if the patient actually had a seizure since he seemed in a normal state post vaccine and mom refused care. Patient waited the remaining 10 minutes before mom was sure he was fine and left. Dr was made aware of the situation.
