Symptom narrative

The meningitis injection was given very high on the left arm/shoulder and was more painful than normal (more painful than the flue shot also given). Severe pain started about an hour after the injection in the left shoulder and has not ceased since that time despite treatment with NSAIDs, ice, and heat. She also is not able to left her arm due to the severe pain. Pain is a 10/10 and constant.
