Symptom narrative

Patient reports that four hours after receiving her MMR she had trouble breathing. Patient is a nurse and described that it was not anaphylaxis but rather an anaphylactoid reaction and that her eyes felt like gravel. She reports that she has never had this kind of reaction and had her last MMR in 2009 without event. She went to the hospital and received high dose Benadryl and was kept for observation for about 5 hours. She reports that she meant to let us know about the event sooner but got busy with life and reported the event to us today (11/11/25).
