Photophobia

Symptom narrative

Light sensitivity to eye; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of photophobia in a female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced photophobia (Verbatim: Light sensitivity to eye). The outcome of the photophobia was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the photophobia to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the photophobia to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 07-NOV-2025 The pharmacist reported that a patient had her first dose of Shingrix and came into the pharmacy for her second dose. The pharmacist would not administer the second dose because the patient stated that her eyes were sensitive to light after the first dose.
