Symptom narrative

Shingrix prescription for a third dose; This non-serious case was reported by a other health professional via call center representative and described the occurrence of drug prescribing error in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Bexsero (received 2 doses on an unknown date). On an unknown date, the patient received the 3rd dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced drug prescribing error (Verbatim: Shingrix prescription for a third dose). The outcome of the drug prescribing error was not applicable. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 10-NOV-2025 The reporter was ask was there any guidance for administering a 3rd dose of Shingrix. The patient received 2 doses in 2018. She was contacting management because her provider wrote a prescription for it, but they are trying to explain there was no literature on this yet. The batch number was not provided upon follow up with the reporter.
