Suspected vaccination failure; Shingles on both legs; got another case of Shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine. Patient had the original vaccine after first encounter, then got another case, not as bad as first, then when the last vaccine came out got it. The patient went to the doctor with this case, on legs, yes both legs. He put patient on medications and patient was still healing after a week and a half but it could have been a lot worse had not had the latest vaccine. The reporter stated that it was well worth it. Patient was thankful as he/she had the vaccine and the medication. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
