Symptom narrative

No additional AE; Nurse called to ask about the potency of an expired dose of VARIVAX that was inadvertently administered to a patient on 11/13/2025. Expiration date of 11/7/2025. HCP states that product did not have any previous temperature excursions. Dose was supp; This spontaneous report was received from a Nurse and referred to a patient of unknown age and gender. The patient's medical history was not reported. The patient's concurrent conditions were not reported. Concomitant therapies were not reported. On 13-Nov-2025, the patient was inadvertently vaccinated with an expired dose of Varicella Virus Vaccine Live (Oka-Merck) (VARIVAX REFRIGERATOR STABLE), (lot #X026326, expiration date: 07-Nov-2025), dose number 1, 0.5 mL (0.5 mls Subcutaneously (1st dose of the series)), administered by Subcutaneous route for prophylaxis (Expired product administered). The vaccine was reconstituted with sterile diluent (Hollister-Stier STERILE DILUENT) administered by Subcutaneous route (indication, expiration date, and lot # were not reported). The product did not have any previous temperature excursions. No additional AE.
