Experienced a mild side effect, such as a rapid heartbeat; This spontaneous case was reported by a pharmacist and describes the occurrence of HEART RATE INCREASED (Experienced a mild side effect, such as a rapid heartbeat) in a female patient of an unknown age who received SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. No Medical History information was reported. On an unknown date, the patient received dose of SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient experienced HEART RATE INCREASED (Experienced a mild side effect, such as a rapid heartbeat). At the time of the report, HEART RATE INCREASED (Experienced a mild side effect, such as a rapid heartbeat) had resolved. The action taken with SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (Intramuscular use) was unknown. For SPIKEVAX NOS (SPIKEVAX NOS) (Intramuscular use), the reporter did not provide any causality assessments. Concomitant medications were not reported. It was reported that during an inquiry about mNEXSPIKE, the healthcare professional mentioned that one of the older female patients experienced a mild side effect, such as a rapid heartbeat, after receiving Moderna's Spikevax, but has since recovered. Reporter was considering mNEXSPIKE for this patient due to its lower dosage, which may present a reduced risk of side effects.
