Symptom narrative

1 day after vaccination, patient called office to state that injection site was sore and red. Armpit on vaccine arm had 2 red streaks leading toward lymph node. When she called our office, we recommended she be seen at urgent care. She presented at urgent care and was admitted to the hospital for observation. During her hospital stay, infectious disease determined this was not cellulitis at the vaccine site and it was an allergic reaction. She was given a steroid and benadryl. Symptoms mostly resolved but the following day before discharge started coming back slightly.
