Donor had just completed his donation and was receiving his 4th tetanus immunization out of a series of 5 at the center. Donor has not had a reaction to the previous 3 tetanus immunizations. Within approximately 15 seconds of receiving the injection, the donor lost consciousness that lasted approximately 30 seconds. Upon regaining consciousness, donor was initially hypotensive with a Blood Pressure of 92/52 and pulse of 80. Subsequently, the donor vital signs retuned within normal limits (BP 112/78 and pulse of 84). Donor stated he felt much better within approximately 15 minutes of monitoring and consumed 2 bottles of Propel and ate a pack of crackers.

Donor stated having one seizure as a small child after falling off a playground seesaw and was treated one time with Dilantin which led to the discovery of the allergy. Donor has not had any more seizures since that one episode and does not take any medications for any condition.
Donor currently takes Wegovy for weight loss.
Donor is allergic to Dilantin reacting with hives.
